The food in the restaurant was incredible, definitely the best we had in Zanzibar! With the lovely rooftop pool and cozy outdoor lounging areas, relaxation was easy. The only hiccup was a breakfast delay, but the eggs were worth the wait! 🥚

my stay at upendo house hotel was everything i hoped for and more. the rooftop restaurant made our meals enjoyable with fresh, cooked-to-order dishes. i loved how close we were to stone town and the beach, making exploration easy and fun.

We spent 4 nights in a Superior Room with Balcony and thoroughly enjoyed the rooftop pool! The atmosphere was lively, and we felt at home. Watching the roof repairs added interest to our stay, though it would have been nice to have the full drinks menu available. Don't miss the local night market nearby!

Loved the beautifully designed room, super clean with thoughtful amenities. The rooftop pool area had stunning sunset views, perfect for winding down after a day of exploring. Breakfast offered a great variety, and the food was some of the best I've had on this trip. However, the noise from the bar outside in the evening was quite loud, making it difficult to fully relax. Although the staff was friendly and Benjamin was particularly helpful, the wifi connection fluctuated during my stay. Overall, it felt like a cozy, chic spot, but some minor improvements could enhance the experience further.

this place could've been lovely, but for the balcony view that wasn’t a sea view at all and the laundry debacle, it was just mediocre. i expected at least a complimentary drink for my troubles, but alas! just like my laundry, that never arrived. don't expect much if you're craving actual service. ,

I was appalled by the lack of room cleanliness as there was a dead insect in the bathtub that went untouched throughout my stay. Additionally, the unreliable Wi-Fi constantly disconnected, making it frustrating to stay connected. Even worse was the service. I had to repeatedly ask for basic necessities like towels and toilet paper, which took far too long to be addressed.

A charming rooftop bar with phenomenal views and fresh, perfectly portioned meals! The central location makes exploring Stone Town a breeze, only a short walk from the beach.

Although the rooms are cozy, mine felt a bit cramped. Expect a bit of a climb to the upper floors, and there’s no elevator!

Loved the rooftop pool and the vibe of the place. We visited the Zanzibar Ferry Terminal and Kidichi Spice Farm, both of which were great activities. The staff was incredibly friendly and helped us coordinate our day trips. Perfect spot for enjoying the local night food market.
